Our People and Change Advisory team focuses on advising organisations in both the public and private sector on the formation of human management performance improvement strategies, frameworks and practices to create value, maximise growth and improve overall HR business performance.
More recently, we have been working with our clients to respond to the increasing demands on their operations in the context of the 2010 Kenya Constitution and associated legislation. In addition, we work with our clients experiencing enhanced strategic focus, pressure to improve operational efficiency and manage costs effectively.
We are now looking for dynamic and innovative individuals who are keen to be a part of organisational transformation for the positions of Manager, Senior Consultant and Consultant for our People and Change Practice.
Position: Manager, People and Change
Reporting to the People and Change solution leader, the job holder will be responsible for contributing as a member of the People and Change management team, to the development and delivery of the business strategy.
The job holders will also be required to:
- Undertake business development through active identification of leads, conversion of leads to expressions of interests, proposals and engagements; . Lead and manage the delivery of People and Change consulting assignments in executive selection, organisation reviews, change management, training needs analysis and other HR consulting assignments as may be assigned;
- Define and manage project resource requirements (including allocation of work) and project economics;
- Manage risks within the standard PwC’s global policies and procedures;
- Lead teams of dedicated staff to respond to client requirements;
- Manage and mentor staff and project teams whilst ensuring they remain motivated; and
- Develop staff and ensure adequate skills transfer.
We are looking for candidates who
- Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences or Human Resource Management.
- A Masters in Business Administration will be an added advantage.
- The successful candidates will also have at least five year’s similar experience in a professional services environment.
- They should also have strong negotiation skills and good attention to detail coupled with excellent presentation and time management skills.
- They should also have demonstrable leadership skills and the ability to develop others through coaching.
- The successful candidate will also have the ability to build and maintain a network of client and internal relationships.
- Reporting to the People and Change solution leader and administratively to a People and Change Manager during assignments, the Senior Consultants and Consultants are responsible for providing support to the Managers on HR consulting assignments to clients in both the private and public sector.
- The ideal Senior Consultants and Consultants will possess three to five years and one to two years respectively demonstrable experience in a similar organisation or in a organisation with a well developed HR function.
- The ideal candidates will possess the ability to take responsibility for the delivery of client work coupled with good communication skills, ability to build productive relationships with internal and external clients.
- They will also possess the ability to analyse problems and deliver innovative solutions.
- They will have the ability to conduct high quality research and will be team players.
