Job Summary:
 
The purpose of the job is to source for mortgage business through support of Branches with a view of increasing the mortgage loan book.

Main Duties
The key responsibilities will among others include:

Undertaking and support pitching for new business from existing database of Branch customers
    Research, propose and champion mortgage solutions for the Branch customers as well as ensuring product and Income targets are met.
Actively advise Head Mortgage Finance ideas for alternative product strategies to manage Branch mortgage sales.
Monitor and provide feedback to Business line leadership on competitor product activity, including pricing
Provide and analyze product income data/information for Business line leadership
Contribute in setting of Bank targets on Branch mortgage sales
Co-ordinate production of a Standard Tariff, which is easily understood by customers and staff and easy to administer

Job Specification
The incumbent will be required to possess the following attributes/skills:
A Bachelor’s Degree in either, Economics, Finance, Banking or Business Administration and any other relevant qualification.
A Master’s degree in any of the above related disciplines is an added advantage
At least 5 years experience in mortgage sales in a commercial or development banking environment.
Good knowledge and experience in project appraisal preferably in a banking environment
Computer literacy is mandatory

Relationship Manager- Chinese Market – SME Banking
Location: Nairobi.  Industry: Banking

The jobholder will ensure that customer’s requirements are met through product attributes and service expectations and to maintain close relationship between the bank and its SME clients.

Key Responsibilities: 

Enhancement of wallet share for every client.

Direct and through references, enhancement of business.

Enhance sales in all other third party products for fee based earning.

Preparing & implementing sales plan/activities to acquire, expand and retention profitable relationships.
 
Identifying and evaluating potential customers’ financial and service needs and recommend product/service offerings in liaison with Product Development Manager.

Identifying and developing new profitable business relationship.

Planning and implementing campaigns for sales promotions

Providing timely and value added services across Banks clientele, initiate and follow through partnerships and networking with Branches and Head office Credit.

Provide relationship management on matters regarding supply chain and SME between branches and head office.

Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
 
University Degree in a Business Related field from a recognized University/ institution. Those with AKIB Diploma, CPA-K/CPS/ACCA and MBA will have an added advantage.

3-5 years proven experience in Banking sector and at least 2 years’ experience in a financial institution covering sales/relationship management

Must have experience in working with Chinese owned companies operating in East Africa

Knowledge in Credit Analysis and Monitoring

Knowledge in Bank Products

Speakers of one of the common Chinese languages will be at a distinct advantage
