Representatives to the National Education Board and County Education Boards – Musilm Education Council New Jobs In Kenya


Muslim Education Council (MEC) is a duly registered organization under the laws of Kenya whose objective is coordination of all Muslim organizations in the Education sector.

According to the Education Act 2013 (No. 14 of 2013, section: 10 (2) (iii) and 20 (d)(iii), the council is mandated to appoint a representative to the National Education Board and county Education Boards respectively. For the purpose of transparency and getting the best qualified person to represent the Muslim community at the National Education Board and County Levels, the Council is inviting qualified candidates:

Minumum Qualifications:

Applicants must have the following minimum qualifications:
  • A Degree in Education from a University recognized in Kenya.
  • Knowledge and at least fifteen years experience in matters related to education.
  • A distinguished career in his/her respective fields.
  • Meet the requirements of chapter six of the constitution.


Those interested can send their application and attach their CV addressed to the Executive Director through Email post mail, or hand delivery to the MEC offices in Jamia Plaza 1st Floor, Kigali Street, Nairobi before the close of business on the 25th of April 2013. Those shortlisted will be interviewed on the 4th of May 2013 for the National Education Board. For the County Education Boards the dates will be communicated to the shortlisted candidates.
