positions.
Head of Trading - Job Ref: Treasury 01/2013
The position: Reports to Director Treasury.
The role holder will head the interbank trading desk in profitable
trading, (but not limited to) of the following products:
- Foreign Exchange Products
- Interest Rate Products.
- Commodities.
- Equities.
Key Responsibilities.
- Proactively manage and grow the current bank’s trading products.
- Widen current product base in line with market dynamics.
- Co-ordinate trading activities across the international Business in line with Group Strategy.
- Liaise with market risk to ensure accurate reporting.
- Effectively implement a funds transfer pricing model between desks.
Corporate Dealer – Job Ref: Treasury 02/2013
Ensure adherence of trading activities to internal controls, limits and
regulatory requirements.
Manage trading Desk team member’s performance and development.
The Person.
- Bachelors Degree in business related field.
- Professional qualifications in related field will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 8 years working experience, 6 in management within financial services field (banking, equity, fund management) out of which a minimum of 4 years must be in a busy treasury trading environment with strong experience in interest rate trading and foreign exchange trading.
- Knowledge/Experience dealing with a wide range of treasury products.
- Experience working at international or regional level is an added advantage.
- Proven experience in driving business results in a competitive environment.
- Ability to lead and motivate teams.
